The curriculum includes required core courses for new HR professionals and recommended refreshers for current staff. HR Academy helps HR teams build confidence, deepen understanding of key policies, and stay aligned with statewide expectations for HR practice.

HR Academy is a structured learning pathway for the State Personnel System. It centralizes essential knowledge needed across HR functions and offers accessible, self-paced modules that reinforce consistency statewide.
Training is developed by the DPA Division of Human Resources in collaboration with subject matter experts.

HR Academy is designed first for State HR professionals—especially those who are new to the role—as well as HR directors and agency HR leaders. It is also a helpful resource for employees exploring an HR career, agency training coordinators, and supervisors who support HR teams.

How to Access Courses
HR Academy courses will be available through the State of Colorado Learning Experience Platform (LXP). When the courses launch, learners will be able to:
- Log in to the LXP
- Search for “HR Academy” or a specific course title
- Enroll and complete courses at their own pace
