Where Buyers Go To Find Small & Diverse Suppliers

The Colorado Supplier Diversity Directory provides businesses with increased visibility to buyers through free directory listings. Any business registered and in good standing with the Colorado Secretary of State can apply. Small, diverse-owned, veteran-owned businesses and businesses located in HUBZones can increase their credibility by verifying their business size and ownership with the Colorado Supplier Diversity Navigator. 

To view and respond to competitive solicitations, suppliers need to register on the appropriate websites. Please visit the State Purchasing & Contracts Office for a list of these websites.

Step 1: Complete the Online Application

Step 2: Submit Business Credentials for Verification 
(if applicable)

Verification provides increased credibility by identification of businesses in HUBZones and small, diverse and veteran-owned businesses. Learn more on our business certifications page.

Verify as a HUBZone Business

Businesses that provide the majority of goods or services in a location that operates out of a physical location in a Colorado US Small Business Administration (SBA) HUBZone (SBA HUBZone Map) and 

  • Are open during business hours; and
  • More than 50% of their employees work significant hours in the HUBZone location; and 
  • Have received or are eligible to receive HUBZone designation.

Verify as a Small Business

Businesses meeting the small business size standards as determined by the United States Small Business Administration (US SBA), may submit: 

  • Three Years of Tax Filings - For newer small businesses that easily meet size requirements; or
  • Five Years of Tax Filings - For larger small businesses who need the extra years to meet the acceptable size standard.

Verify as a Diverse-owned Business

For businesses with at least 51% control and day-to-day management by a minority, woman, person with disabilities, or LGBTQ+ person who has demonstrated their diverse ownership through a third-party certification (self-identification certifications not accepted). Proof of third-party certification must be submitted with the application to receive the verified diverse designation.

Verify as a Veteran-Owned Business

For businesses that can demonstrate, through a third-party certification, (self-identification certifications not accepted) at least 51% control and day-to-day management by a veteran of the U.S. Military with an honorable service discharge. Proof of certification must be submitted with the application to receive the verified veteran designation. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) directory designations are available by providing the appropriate certification. 

Step 3: Maintain Your Registration

  • Directory Updates: Suppliers must keep all their information current for their directory listing. Any changes can be made by submitting an application indicating the update with the correct information
     
  • Renewals: Verifications are given for a three-year period. To renew, businesses can complete an application indicating a renewal every three years (from the verification approval date).

Current supporting documents will need to be attached to the application or provided to the Colorado Supplier Diversity Navigator.
