Julie Mileham

Julie Mileham has worked in the public sector for 23 years, including 20 years of work in risk management and insurance. A lifelong Coloradan, Julie now oversees and provides strategic leadership for the State of Colorado's property, liability, and workers' compensation funds, including administration and guidance of the employee safety services unit. In addition, Julie is also responsible for managing many of the State's insurance vendors and she supports state agencies and higher education as members of self-insured pools.

Suzanne Kubec

Suzanne Kubec has more than 30 years of service with the State of Colorado. She is also an elected PERA Trustee and serves as Chair of the PERA Benefits Committee. In her role as the Liability Claims Manager, Suzanne monitors liability and legal reserves for all lawsuits filed against the State of Colorado, working closely with the Attorney General's Office when considering settlement alternatives. In addition to her work managing legal reserves, Suzanne also monitors Medicare compliance, coordinates with the State's contracted insurance brokers to provide data for insurance renewals, and manages the contract for third party reporting to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment for unemployment claims made by state employees.

Lee Taylor is a graduate of UCCS and MSU with over 32 years of insurance and claims industry experience. A former personal and commercial lines broker, Lee is an expert at litigation management, and regularly handles personal, commercial, and high-value property claims. A SORM team member since 2016, Lee is responsible for reviewing the insurance provisions of State contracts, all requests for waivers, and manages a portfolio of liability claims made against the State of Colorado.

Donna Goodwin and a dog

Donna Goodwin serves as the State's workers' compensation program manager. She brings over 20 years of combined HR and risk management experience to SORM. Prior to joining the team in July of 2020, Donna managed the self-insured workers' compensation program for the Colorado Department of Transportation. Currently, she oversees the State's self-insured workers' compensation program for all State employees. Her focus areas include workers' compensation compliance and best practices, claim and leave management, third-party oversight, and policy and procedure development.

Adam Alban

Adam Alban joined the safety team at SORM in 2018, calling on many years of experience as an analytic chemist and laboratory safety coordinator, Adam focuses on building relationships with state employees to foster safe work environments. Recently taking over SORM's property program, Adam now splits his time between workplace safety evaluations and investigations of state property damage.

Brian Brickey

Brian Brickey has been a SORM team member since 2017. Working in the private sector for 22 years, in many different industries, Brian is knowledgeable about many aspects of safety including safety culture, training, compliance, planning, and leadership development. Championing the 'new view' approach to safety, Brian provides regular safety training and webinars, writes safety articles, assists agencies with safety investigations, and works to support the development of strong safety cultures through safety committees and employee outreach.

Priscilla Talich is the technical assistant to the liability claims administrator for SORM. She works closely with third party administrators and the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) administrator to ensure State processes and claim entry are functional for the end user. She also closely monitors both systems to ensure quality controls and the integrity of data for auto and tort.

Corey has over 19 years of experience in Systems Analysis for industry leading technology companies. Joining SORM in 2018, Corey now serves as the primary technical contact for internal and external customers. Corey's duties include technical and operational problem resolution, information extraction, and training to support RMIS users who rely heavily on the integrity of risk, safety and workers' compensation data every day.
