Personality and Self-Awareness Assessments

A hand points to the word assessment amongst many other words.

Personality and Self-Awareness Assessments provide insight in how to interact more effectively with others by providing understanding of self-perception and the perceptions of others. The data from these assessments can be used to measure change or improvement in relational skills that are otherwise difficult to define and measure.

COE offers a variety of assessments that can be used to identify areas for personal development and determine which training and development classes may be more valuable, interesting, and effective.

These assessments can be purchased for individuals or groups and are sometimes paired with classes or certificate programs. All of these assessments include a meeting with a certified facilitator to describe the meaning of the assessment and to encourage the development of plans to take action on the assessment results.

COE is currently offering several personality and self-awareness assessments:

Description: Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the ability to understand one's own and others' emotions and how they drive behavior, and then use that knowledge to influence and motivate others. Numerous studies have shown that what truly distinguishes outstanding leaders from average ones is emotional self-awareness and self-control. Yet, in assessments of more than 2 million workers, researchers found that "just 36% of people are able to accurately identify their emotions as they happen," says Travis Bradberry, author of Emotional Intelligence 2.0. This interactive session will help senior-level leaders understand the definition of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and the critical importance of developing one's own EQ for ultimate leadership success. Participants will understand their own EQ strengths and weaknesses notably as these related to their ability to lead effectively. Participants will learn more about creating, delegating, influencing, motivating and coaching with emotional intelligence. Participants complete the EQi® Leadership instrument prior to this workshop.
